Halloween

We had such a fun Halloween this year. It seemed to last for a week between dressing up for the library, trick or treating downtown Friday, Great-Grandma's party, and then trick or treating again on Saturday. Dallan wanted to be a dragon this year, so we borrowed a costume from Heather that she had made for Casey a couple of years ago. As we painted his face green, he giggled the entire time, but as soon as we were done and he looked in the mirror he wanted that paint washed away now! He doesn't like attention, and knew this was definately going to get some reactions from everyone! I wasn't a very nice mom and wouldn't wash it off. Due to snow in Denver, Paisley's costume didn't make it in time. I was extremely disappointed. It was her first Halloween and she had no costume. (only a mother would be upset!!) My cousin let me borrow the cute ladybug costume and Paisley looked adorable in it.
Dallan was not shy about trick-or-treating. He got up to the doorstep, rang the bell and patiently waited for them to answer the door, and said "Trick-or-Treat". It was so much fun to take him around and see his face light up everytime he saw another kid dressed up. We was not neglected of candy that's for sure. One lady gave him a beanie baby kitty. It's name is Fraidy and is Dallan's new best friend. It has been going everywhere with us and Dallan will talk to it like it's a real kitty. I'm afraid to say, it'll be the only kind of cat Dallan will have! It's quiet, doesn't shed, doesn't need fed, and even goes potty on command! Dallan tells me a couple times a day that Fraidy needs to go potty, so we have to take it outside!

They both look adorable! The kitty thing cracks me up. I don't blame you one bit for not wanting a real kitty, i never want one either! I think a beany baby cat is a great solution! Especially since Dallan already has it trained. AWESOME!

I love Dallan's green face!!!!Hallee loved getting her face painted green too... then she looked in the mirror and said "mom no one will think I look pretty!" It took a lot of reassuring her that everyone will think she looks pretty and then we get there and her friend was scared of her! :) ha ha ! Oh and the lady bug costume is absolutely adorable... Paisley is getting so big sitting up all by her self! You are such a goodmom and are always doing fun things with your kids!
