There is nothing like Evanston on the 4th of July. It seems as if you are on a battlefield. You are surrounded by fireworks from 7:00 until about 2:00 a.m. The firework show put on by the city was amazing. I sent Jeremy in the firework store with Dallan to specifically buy sparklers and snaps. After about 15 minutes in the store I decided to go in and see what they were up too. I caught him with $200 worth of fireworks and the mean wife that I am - told him to put them back immediately. So, instead of wasting our money, we went over to my mom's and helped Garrett waste his! They had a great time blowing things up. They would get so giddy each time one went off. I don't know what it is about fieworks and men. It must make them feel powerful and manly!!
