We made it!! After a VERY last minute descision, the kids and I flew to Fargo, ND for a vacation with Jeremy's family in Northern Minnesota. Jeremy had to work, so I was practically on my own getting the kids settled and entertained on the flight. I had traveled with Dallan on my own, but it was a real adventure taking both kids by myself. It was a little stressful to say the least, but the kids were troopers and well behaved.
The first day we had a family reunion with the Nybergs (Jeremy's dad's family). Grandpa Nyberg turned eighty this year so we celebrated with cake and icecream. Dallan enjoyed the chocolate cupcakes. I think he had three or four of them!! After the reunion we went back to the resort and took a nice boat ride on the lake and walked around the resort. Dallan helped Grandpa drive the boat, but after about 5 minutes he fell fast asleep.
Jeremy's cousins came up the second day. Dallan couldn't wait to see Lucas (he knows Lucas lives on a farm and has pigs at his house, so Dallan gets pretty excited to see him.)

I should have gotten a video of the last day! I got to the airport about 1/2 hour early, which I thought would be plenty of time because Fargo airport is very very small. Well, I get up to the desk to check in and the lady asks where I am flying to. I told her I was flying in to Salt Lake. She then tells me I have missed my flight and the next flight to Salt Lake wouldn't be until the next day. I told her I still had a 1/2 hour before the plane leaves - there was no way I was going to miss that flight. Well, she quickly printed the tickets and said, "I can't promise anything, but you can try to get on." Of course, traveling with kids takes a few minutes longer through security, especially when you have the carseat and stroller to check in at the gate. As soon as I got through security they announced they were doing the final boarding for Salt Lake. I told Dallan he had to run and I have to say, he was a good little boy. It was so hectic and crazy, but I made it home! I'm sure it was a sight to see me running through the airport with two kids, carrying Paisley, the carseat, and the stroller. It was such a relief to sit on that plane and finally be able to take a deap breath. I am just so grateful I have good kids!
We had such a fun week with Jeremy's family and so glad we were able to go. We are looking forward to next year already, so Jeremy can come with us!!
