Daddy and Dallan had a "Big Boy Day" as Dallan would put it, while Paisley and I went to a Relief Society "SPA" weekend (Sisters Preservation Assosiation). Jeremy was a sweetheart and took Dallan for a few days that I could get away a little. I am sure he didn't mind it much, because he and Dallan would do anything to get away to Logan and have a little tractor driving time. Jeremy got Dallan all prepared with snacks and movies and they combined for six hours. Now what two year old can really sit in a tractor for six hours?? I can't even get him to sit still in church for more than a couple minutes. He loves that farming stuff just as much as his daddy, and I wouldn't want it any other way. That is something that defines my little boy and part of who he is. (I can testify it really does run in the blood) There are not too many things more special to me than seeing my little boy and his daddy out in the field. Maybe it's because I'm a mommy and I would do anything to see my little boy's face light up like it does when he sees a tractor, but I really think it's something that I love and want just as much as them.
The other night we were laying in Dallan's bed reading stories to him for bedtime. Dallan looked at his daddy, and said "Daddy, when I git big I gonna go barmin wit you." It was one of those priceless moments. He truly loves farming with his daddy. I can't wait for that day when they come home from a long day at the farm together asking for some dinner!! (as funny as it sounds, it really is true)
After six hours of combining wheat, they spent another hour picking sweet corn for me, then went off camping. The next day, Dallan told me all about camping. The popcorn and movie, the stars, moon, the spider. He loved it.

Thanks Jer, for giving me a little break. It was some much needed time for me to visit with other women and do some "girly" things. I had a great time, and I think all the other ladies did as well. We made crafts, played games, ate lots of yummy food, had a wonderful fireside as well as many other things.
